About the event
Mark your calendars for February 14th! We unveil our first 2026 installation, designed and created by Mark Oliver of Foundation Woodworks:
"Tea for Two" 💗memorial bench at The North Carolina Arboretum. This intimate space invites you to pause, connect with nature, and share a moment with someone special—embodying the healing power of togetherness.
You'll find the bench in the lower "Plants of Promise Garden" between the Education Center and the Playing Woods, nestled along the wood-chipped trail on your left as you walk from the Education Center toward Playing Woods.
Join us for the unveiling! One of our talented woodworkers, Mickey Strivelli, is crafting a small Helene wood gift for attendees—a token of our gratitude for your support and a tangible piece of this historic moment in the story of our mountains.
This is just the beginning of our year-long journey from devastation to hope. Stay tuned as we announce…
