A Welcome Letter from the Founder

Welcome! I’m so excited to be here and to announce that Echoes of the Forest has officially launched! Sept. 27, 2024 was a day that forever changed the landscape of western NC. Since that day, I’ve been scratching my head trying to figure out a way not just to process it all but to help the community heal while providing a forum for education and artistic expression. Echoes of the Forest is that project, and it’s coming together thanks to so many special members of this community – businesses, colleagues, friends, woodworkers, and more.
As we get the project off the ground, we’ll be sending out updates via the newsletter, social media and in our blog. We’ll let you know where and when you can see the first Echoes and provide ways for you to help – whether financially or through volunteerism. As we all know, it takes a village – and this is only the beginning.
So, we welcome you to explore the website, ask questions, sign up for the newsletter, and help us to create a lasting tribute to honor the downed trees of western NC and to help us rebuild a community that will emerge stronger and even more beautiful than before.
